Production Worker Job Description This role combines hands-on production and warehouse responsibilities in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will assemble and kit products, perform quality checks, complete data entry using RF scanners and tablets, and support warehouse operations including forklift driving, picking, packing, and material handling. The position offers consistent weekday hours with the opportunity to choose from multiple day shifts in production or work a standard day shift in the warehouse. Responsibilities Bag and assemble product kits containing vials according to established procedures and work orders. Perform quality checks on assembled products to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Complete work orders accurately and on time, documenting all required information. Assemble boxes, pack products securely, and prepare items for shipment. Use RF scanners and tablets to perform data entry, track inventory, and update order status. Sit at an individual table or bench to kit orders, scan documents, and complete data entry tasks. Operate a stand-up forklift while harnessed in to access and move materials in racking systems. Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently using appropriate equipment. Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks. Operate packing machines, palletizers, and automated tape machines to support packaging operations. Perform picking and packing duties using electric pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment. Carry out physical activities such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to complete daily production and warehouse goals. Essential Skills Experience in production, including assembly and packing tasks. Inventory handling experience in a production or warehouse environment. Proficiency with RF scanners for data entry and inventory tracking. Experience using tablets or similar devices for data entry and documentation. Warehouse or forklift experience, including operating a stand-up forklift. Ability to operate pallet jacks, including electric pallet jacks, for picking and packing. Comfort working at heights while operating a stand-up forklift in racking. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly. Comfort performing physical activities such as balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. Attention to detail and accuracy when performing quality checks and completing work orders. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a production environment assembling kits or packaging products. Prior warehouse experience involving shipping, picking, and packing. Experience operating packing machines, palletizers, and automated tape machines. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and orders simultaneously. You will work Monday through Friday, with production shifts available from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and a warehouse shift from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The facility uses RF scanners, tablets, packing machines, palletizers, automated tape machines, stand-up forklifts, and electric pallet jacks. Work involves both seated tasks at individual tables or benches and active warehouse duties requiring standing, walking, lifting, and operating material-handling equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockwood, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
