KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the setup and operation of press and slitter machines used to slit, punch, and package conveyor belt products. Load raw materials onto machines under guidance, ensuring alignment and proper tension for smooth feeding. Observe machine operations to detect irregularities and alert senior technicians or supervisors when needed. Remove completed belts or cut components from machinery and organize them for inspection or packaging. Learn and apply basic dimensional inspection techniques using tape measures, rulers, or templates. Perform general housekeeping duties such as clearing scrap, sweeping work areas, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment and surrounding workstations. Participate in safety and SOP training to build understanding of quality and production standards. Accurately complete basic production tracking forms including material usage and order number references. Support inventory replenishment by notifying leads or technicians when materials run low. Adhere to all, and be capable of, executing all Belting standard operating procedures of the warehouse while adhering to, and maintaining, safety and efficiency. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
This is an entry-level position that requires approximately 1-2 years of related manufacturing experience, including a minimum of 2 years of experience operating a propane-powered forklift. Strong work ethic and sense of urgency Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced setting Solid teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to use, read, and accurately interpret measurements from a carpenter's square, tape measure, and ruler. Bilingual (English/Spanish), highly desired
