Production Team Lead 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
POSITION SUMMARY
The team leader, in addition to his/her assigned job, is responsible for building the capability of his/her team to deliver against the department masterplan through rigorous execution of work processes and standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
▪ Perform all work in accordance with environmental, health, safety, food safety, and quality standards, legal compliance, rules, regulations and practices of the facility.
▪ Drive Daily Management Systems to deliver improved results every shift, every day
▪ Ensure any safety / quality / food safety behavior & condition issues are resolved quickly
▪ Own team's results
▪ Drive effective operational reviews (shift hand-off, shiftly operations review) - Lead team meeting - Responsible for updating the visual board.
▪ Ensure team members are growing in capability.
▪ Work with the Line Leader on the administration of people management systems (staffing, training, etc.)
▪ Communicate effectively with the team to ensure the team is receiving the right information.
▪ Use problem solving skills and root cause analysis to resolve and/or mitigate operational issues
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or
GED. LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES
Hold team accountable to execution to standards Ensure all associates receive their allotted breaks and lunch periods while maintaining production run rate Manage skills matrix for your team and ensure all associates have a training plan developed Escalate issues that need further attention properly Demonstrate the GSF Creed and Values
LANGUAGE SKILLS
High level of reading comprehension Ability to write detailed correspondence and documentation Ability to use effective problem solving skills
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in accordance with production paperwork.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to wear personal protective equipment and/or clothing Stand/walk 8 or more hours per day Constantly twist/turn and talk/hear Frequently squat, bend, reach, handle/finger, grip/grasp and use fine motor tasks Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs from floor to shoulder level and carry 30 feet Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision
ENVIRONMENTAL/ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS
Constantly work in damp, wet, humid and slippery environments Constantly work near moving machinery Constantly work in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
MACHINES/TOOLS/EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE
