Job Summary:
Diab Americas, an AS9100 certified facility, located in Desoto, Texas (15 minutes from downtown Dallas) is seeking an experienced Production Lead responsible for supervising the day-to-day workflow and performance of production workers. The Production Lead supports the General Production Manager to accomplish the Production plan and reach productivity targets. This position is responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing operation is producing within specifications and quality standards and maintaining compliance with all company policies. Applicants must possess the skills to apply lean manufacturing practices to maintain workflow, organization and a clean facility.Salary:
Negotiable, depending upon relevant experience.Eligibility Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Ability to pass standard criminal background check - no convictions for any crime of violence; cannot be on registered offender list. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen. Must be ITAR compliant.Experience Requirements:
Minimum 2 years' experience as a shift leader in a manufacturing environment (REQUIRED). 2 years' Lean Manufacturing experience (PREFERRED). Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift certification.Qualifications:
Ability to comprehend and comply with all company policies, Health & Safety and PPE requirements. Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal work instructions. Ability to read, comprehend and perform to Quality System Documentation. Demonstrable ability to elaborate and understand KPI's graph. Demonstrable leadership. Demonstrable lean manufacturing understanding; Continuous improvement oriented. Demonstrable Microsoft Office knowledge - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.. General math skills. Ability to work assigned schedule; overtime and weekends as required. Ability to maintain attendance in accordance with company attendance policies. Ability to interface and work effectively with other departments and employees. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and maintain productive work relationships with employees and coworkers. Ability to resolve or escalate conflicts as necessary to maintain a productive work environment. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel or stand for duration of shift. Must be a proactive team-player, with a hands on, can-do attitude. Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility.Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for supervising the day-to-day workflow and performance of production workers and ensuring compliance with production goals and company policies. Responsible and accountable for team performance, providing ongoing coaching and feedback to support employee development and maintain motivation. Train new and existing employees and follow training matrix for all positions. Responsible for accomplishing production planning and problem solving in order to fulfill production expectations. Responsible for production under technical and quality specification. Improve productivity, production yield and reduce waste. Supervise and maintain housekeeping requirements within assigned area/s. Able to work under Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Collect, understand and analyze data and graph for/from KPI's.Apply lean manufacturing practices:
Organization, workflow, cleaning. Responsible for accuracy and quality for a part or combination of the following - boxing, packaging, staging and labeling the material. Responsible for loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments Responsible for stopping any process and immediately communicate with management any issue/s which poses Health and Safety or risk to employee/s / products and or equipment. Responsible for interpretation of shop travelers, material specifications, and procedures. Responsible for the proper use and compliance of equipment to Health and Safety Guidelines. Responsible for maintaining professional conduct and directing others in a professional manner. Responsible for operator maintenance PM's. Assume Production Manager role in his absence or when is designated. Must have continuous Improvement mentality. Other tasks as required.Job Type:
