  • $20 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Inspection gauge Measurement-based inspection Computer operation Rulers Google Sheets Google Docs Google Drive Computer skills Full Job Description Position Summary We are hiring a full-time Quality Assistant to support our Quality Manager in ensuring that finished goods meet all production and quality standards.
The Assistant will focus on identifying variations, communicating with operators and managers to resolve issues, and suggesting improvements in production processes to reduce errors and increase operational efficiency. Reliability, commitment, and attention to detail are essential to this role, along with strong attendance and punctuality. Key Responsibilities Collect, inspect, and organize product samples throughout the production process Collaborate with team members to ensure process requirements for each job are met Communicate variations or concerns with urgency Help prepare reports on quality issues and updates to procedures or training Adhere to production safety guidelines including Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP) and SQF (food safety) guidelines
Qualifications Essential:
Excellent attention to detail Basic computer skills (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets) Ability to use inspection tools such as ruler, micrometer, and calipers Strong communication skills Valid US work authorization
Preferred:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Knowledge of root cause reporting, 5S, and/or Lean Manufacturing Audit and SQF experience Schedule Current hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM
  • 3:30 PM, with potential for additional hours depending on operational needs. We anticipate opening a second shift in the coming months, so the ability to work a later shift (such as 12:00 PM
  • 8:00 PM or 2:00 PM
  • 10:00 PM) is a plus.
Weekly hours over 40 are paid at 1.5x time. Physical Demands & Work Environment This role requires prolonged standing and frequent use of hands and arms, including reaching and lifting or moving materials up to 50 pounds. The work environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and elevated noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as masks and gloves, is provided as needed, and safety footwear is required.
