(2nd shift has $1 shift differential) 3-6 month contract Position Summary We are seeking a mechanically inclined Production Machinist to set up and operate rotary transfer machining equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for producing quality parts efficiently, performing tooling changes and adjustments, troubleshooting production and quality issues, and assisting with basic machine and tooling maintenance.

Key Responsibilities Set up and operate rotary transfer machining equipment safely and efficiently. Read and interpret blueprints, dimensions, and tolerance specifications. Inspect and gauge parts using pin/plug gauges, thread gauges, and positional gauges to ensure conformance. Monitor production and record hourly output, tool changes, and troubleshooting activities. Load and unload stock and properly start and stop machines. Remove, replace, preset, and reinstall tooling such as drills, end mills, taps, die heads, recess tools, and burnish tools. Make tooling adjustments and assist with machine changeovers. Troubleshoot production, quality, and equipment issues. Assist with repairs and maintenance involving tooling, spindles, belts, bearings, and other machine components. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Work effectively with team members across departments and follow all applicable safety requirements. Qualifications Experience with rotary transfer machining equipment such as Buffoli, Gnutti, Hydromat, or Mikron machines. Formal CNC machining education or equivalent hands-on machining experience. Experience with tooling adjustments, machine setups, changeovers, and troubleshooting. CNC experience preferred but not required. Statistical Process Control (SPC) experience is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and understand machining tolerances. Basic math and computer skills. Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills. Mechanically inclined and able to work effectively as part of a team. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and handle materials weighing approximately 10-20 lbs. Occasionally lift materials weighing approximately 20-40 lbs. Ability to grasp, handle, and manipulate products and materials safely. Work Environment Climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Noise levels typical of a machining and production facility. Work may involve designated or authorized-access areas. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
