This role requires accurate recordkeeping for assembly time and materials, along with clear communication of production issues to management. The work includes manual assembly, soldering, basic testing, labeling, and intermediate processes such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, and related production tasks. The position also requires safe work practices, attention to quality standards, and the ability to follow BOMs, travelers, drawings, and work instructions precisely. This is a hands-on role in a Lean Manufacturing setting where speed, accuracy, and consistency are important. Benefits Pay rate is $16 to $17 per hour. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Overtime is available as needed based on production requirements. Some Saturdays are mandatory, with hours from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. This role offers work in a structured manufacturing environment with defined production standards. What You Will Do? Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe workplace for all employees. Read BOMs, travelers, assembly instructions, drawings, and work instructions to identify required materials and specifications. Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools such as drivers, drills, cutters, strippers, allen wrenches, screwdrivers, and wrenches. Complete hand soldering with low temperature and high temperature solder while meeting IPC Class 2 standards and cleaning residual flux. Perform intermediate assembly tasks including potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, labeling, and ink jetting assemblies. Operate independently or as part of a moving assembly line using Lean Manufacturing Processes. Perform on-line go/no-go testing, inspect assemblies, and complete test data sheets accurately. Set up, calibrate, and use semi-automated crimping, stripping, labeling, and light computerized test equipment. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and verify calibration before use. Record time, labor, notes, comments, date codes, serial numbers, and quality information in manufacturing computer systems. Your Skills You have at least 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly and understand basic soldering. You can use manual and power tools safely, including drivers, drills, cutters, strippers, and power tools. You have experience with wire prep, including Molex pinning, crimping, tinning, and wire cutting. You understand testing equipment and can support pass/fail testing, continuity testing, load testing, and basic failure-mode review. You can work with computer systems, MES processes, labor tracking, quality records, date codes, calibration, and serial numbers. You have experience with soldering applications such as tab, flex, boards, IPC Class 2, and IPC Class 3 requirements. You can maintain attention to detail in a quality-driven environment with strict scrap and finished goods targets. You are comfortable working in hazardous environments and following safety procedures for HM cells and 8S 26Ah cell strings. You can distinguish wire colors such as red, green, blue, and yellow. You can communicate clearly in English, both written and spoken. Interested? If this role matches your experience, we encourage you to apply and share your qualifications. The next step is to submit your application so your background in mechanical assembly, soldering, testing, and manufacturing support can be reviewed. Candidates who are selected will be contacted with additional information about the hiring process and scheduling requirements. Please be prepared to discuss your experience with assembly instructions, quality standards, calibration, and production reporting. If you have worked in Lean Manufacturing, handled hazardous materials, or supported IPC Class 2 or IPC Class 3 assembly requirements, that experience will be relevant to this position. We look forward to reviewing applications from candidates who can work safely, follow instructions carefully, and contribute to consistent production output.
