Job Description

ASSEMBLY TECHNICIAN
Location:
Missouri City Pay:
$20
Schedule:
M-F 6:30AM-2:30PM, MUST be willing to work Saturdays. Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing is seeking several Battery Assembly Technician to perform hands-on assembly of battery packs, cables, and electrical/mechanical components in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working with hand and power tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble battery packs, cables, and electrical/mechanical components according to work instructions, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Perform mechanical assembly, wire preparation, crimping, cutting, labeling, potting, bonding, and other production tasks.
  • Perform basic hand soldering and quality inspections.
  • Use hand and power tools, testing equipment, and computerized manufacturing systems.
  • Perform basic testing, including continuity, voltage, and pass/fail inspections.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures, including protocols for handling hazardous materials.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report issues to management.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Basic soldering experience preferred.
  • Experience with hand/power tools and wire preparation is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to distinguish wire colors.
