Job Description
Job Summary:
To enable the packaging, storing, transferring, and loading of shelled stock peanuts. Package and palatize shelled peanuts in accordance with customer specifications. Load trailers and containers for fumigation preparation and shipment to customers. Unload supplies as needed. Utilize equipment, including processing equipment, as required. Perform food safety tasks as assigned, including record keeping, pest control, sanitation, inspections, quality foreign material pick outs, maintenance, and quality control. Assist in mill maintenance as directed. Help with seed treatment and packaging as needed. Follow all safety rules and regulations. Follow all food safety rules and regulations. Follow all policies and rules set by your supervisor and the handbook. Test, clean, and utilize peanut processing equipment as directed by your supervisor. Utilize forklifts to transfer pallets of packaged peanuts from various locations to their proper destination. Any other duties assigned by your supervisor or management. Skills and other requirements Experience operating forklifts preferred. Experience operating terminal tractors (yard mules) preferred. Must be willing to work in ambient temperature environments. Must not be allergic to peanuts. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the work site, preferably your own private vehicle. Walking, standing, climbing, lifting, and bending in peanut mill environment Using hands to operate industrial equipment, machines, and tools Moderate to high noise levels depending on production area Schedule Regular working hours are 7:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.
Compensation:
