PURPOSE:

As a team member of the manufacturing shop, a Production Machine Operator assists the welders in building helical screw piles by operating the Plasma Machines to cut various diameters of pipe and plate to specifications given and supply welding line with product for manufacturing. Coordinates with all manufacturing staff for the purpose of completing projects/work orders efficiently and effectively. Assists other team members as required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

DUTIES:

Complete pre-use visual machine checks and complete required documentation Replace electrodes, tips and shields daily, replace other consumables as required Complete machine start up including oxygen pressure checks, homing and verifying free movement of torch head Read and interpret internal work orders and supporting documentation Select and transport metal stock to work area manually and/or using overhead crane or forklift Properly and safely load and unload metal materials in machinery Set-up, operate and monitor Plasma machine to produce components for helical screw piles Clean, lubricate and maintain Plasma machine Troubleshoot breakdowns and equipment issues and perform minor repairs Clean, buff and file steel products to prepare materials for welding Visually check and measure products to verify for quality and engineered specifications Complete general housekeeping and organizing of the pipe profiler area Comply with company safe work practices and procedures Various other duties as required

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Experience operating a CNC Pipe Profiler or CNC Plasma Table an asset Technical training considered an asset

Forklift Certification Overhead Crane Certification Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
