- Job Title: Rebar Production Worker (Night Shift)
- Job Description
- This long-term opportunity is for a rebar production worker who will bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars according to customer orders in an indoor industrial environment.
The role is ideal for individuals with prior construction or general labor experience who are comfortable using hand and power tools, working as part of a team, and handling physically demanding tasks on a consistent night shift schedule.
- Responsibilities
- + Bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders and production specifications.
+ Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to precise lengths.
+ Operate a bending machine to form reinforcing steel bars into specified shapes.
+ Use an overhead crane to safely move, assemble, and select materials to be fabricated or shipped.
+ Operate a Fabmatic machine to cut and bend reinforcing steel bars into designated shapes.
+ Assemble and load completed orders onto trailers for shipping in an accurate and organized manner.
+ Operate a power saw to cut reinforcing steel bars to required lengths.
+ Use a spray gun to apply epoxy touch-up to reinforcing steel bars as needed.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines.
+ Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and support overall production goals.
+ Follow instructions, blueprints, and job tickets to ensure correct dimensions and configurations of materials.
+ Participate in an acclimation period with shortened workweeks to learn processes, equipment, and safety practices before transitioning to a full schedule.
- Essential Skills
- + Previous experience in construction or as a general laborer in an industrial environment.
+ Ability to work confidently with a variety of hand tools and power tools.
+ Capability to lift up to 75 pounds on a semi-consistent basis throughout the shift.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and coordinate tasks with others.
+ Comfort working with rebar and related materials in a production or construction setting.
+ Ability to operate or learn to operate overhead cranes safely.
+ Basic understanding of reading and following blueprints or work instructions.
+ Reliability in maintaining consistent attendance on a night shift schedule (approximately 3:00 PM 1:30 AM).
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- + Experience specifically working with rebar is a strong plus.
+ Prior exposure to industrial or manufacturing environments.
+ Familiarity with operating machines such as shearing machines, bending machines, or similar fabrication equipment.
+ Experience using spray equipment for coatings or touch-up work.
+ Comfort learning new machinery such as Fabmatic equipment and power saws.
+ Strong focus on safety and adherence to established procedures.
+ Willingness to participate in ongoing physical wellness support provided at the facility.

Dress is appropriate for an industrial shop environment, prioritizing safety gear and practical work attire suitable for physical labor and machinery operation.

- This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salt Lake City, UT.
- Pay and Benefits
- The pay range for this position is $20.
00 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
