Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Device Manufacturing Operator to support the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, this position may perform a combination of assembly, repair, inspection, and testing operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing detailed, repetitive manufacturing work involving small components while following strict procedures, safety requirements, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine assembly, repair, inspection, and testing operations on medical devices and related components. Work with pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Follow specified and standardized manufacturing procedures and work instructions. Handle and maneuver small components and parts accurately. Maintain accurate and current documentation for manufacturing cell operations. Ensure traveler, production, and quality documentation is completed accurately. Maintain proper part traceability throughout the manufacturing process. Identify and communicate quality concerns so issues can be addressed appropriately. Utilize electronic data collection systems and applicable computer software. Follow all established safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices when performing operations. Clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to manufacturing management in both written and verbal form. Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, including facility tours. Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives designed to improve production processes. Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles . Work with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager to support individual goals and manufacturing cell performance metrics. Prioritize assignments by determining the appropriate sequence and timing of work based on importance and production needs. Support Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other applicable regulatory requirements. Support additional divisional and manufacturing initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and work instructions. Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions. Ability to perform detailed work involving small components and parts. Basic computer skills and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. Ability to maintain accurate manufacturing and quality documentation. Ability to prioritize work according to production requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles preferred. Ability to make appropriate decisions and judgments within established procedures and level of responsibility.

Work Environment:

This position operates within a regulated medical device manufacturing environment and requires strict adherence to established quality, safety, documentation, and regulatory procedures. Work is closely and continually reviewed to ensure compliance with manufacturing and quality requirements.

Dress Code:

Candidates must comply with the required dress code during the interview facility tour and while working on-site . Specific dress-code and manufacturing-area requirements will be communicated prior to the interview or start date.
