Job Description

Our company, Closet Factory, is the custom storage solution authority serving the Richmond, Charlottesville, and Fredericksburg areas need for custom space organization throughout the home. We design, manufacture and install custom closets, home offices, garages, home theaters, pantries, bookshelves and more. Our products are of the highest quality. We have been in business for over 20 years and have locations across the country. We have experienced substantial, long-term growth and as a result are searching for another member to add to our close-knit team of people to manufacture our products. Our factory produces all of the wood parts to our complete product line using the 32-millimeter system. Members of our factory prepare each job and check it for accuracy and quality before it is sent to the client's home.
Pay:
Starting at $17 per hour, depending on experience. Position Summary We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Production Worker to join our production team. The Production Worker is responsible for completing assigned work safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining the quality standards of the company. The successful candidate will take pride in their work, pay close attention to detail, follow instructions and established procedures, and work effectively as part of a team. Primary Responsibilities Complete assigned production work according to work orders, drawings, specifications, and company procedures. Produce quality work accurately and efficiently. Inspect completed work to identify errors, defects, or quality issues. Use hand tools, power tools, machinery, and other production equipment safely and properly. Measure and verify materials and finished products as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Communicate production issues, material shortages, equipment problems, and quality concerns to the supervisor. Meet established production expectations while maintaining quality. Assist other members of the production team when needed. Perform other duties as assigned. What We Expect The ideal candidate will: Arrive to work on time and be dependable. Identify and correct mistakes before work moves to the next stage. Work at an appropriate pace without sacrificing quality. Keep their work area clean and organized. Work safely and look out for the safety of their coworkers. Communicate problems early rather than allowing them to become larger issues. Be willing to learn new skills and take direction from supervisors and experienced team members.
Qualifications Required:
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work effectively in a production/shop environment. Good attention to detail. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to safely use basic hand and power tools.
Preferred:
Previous manufacturing, construction, fabrication, woodworking, or production experience. Experience reading shop drawings or production instructions. Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, or other measuring equipment. Experience operating production machinery. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and work for extended periods. Ability to bend, reach, lift, and move materials as required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely operate required tools and equipment. Ability to work in a production/shop environment where noise, dust, and other normal manufacturing conditions may be present.
