| $21.42/HR | 7AM-7PM Job Description The Manual PrePack Production Associate works on a fastpaced packaging line handling small plastic bricks and related parts. You will manually place pieces into bags, load product into automated equipment, and ensure accurate labeling and quality throughout the production process. This role is highly repetitive, performancedriven, and requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and comfort working on your feet for long shifts in a clean, climatecontrolled facility. Responsibilities Manually place small plastic bricks and associated parts into bags at a designated prepack station, ensuring the correct pieces are dropped into each package. Continuously pull plastic bins from pallets, verify bin labels, and dump contents into automated equipment, matching each label to the correct machine number so the right product is added to the line. Work with automated packaging processes, particularly on evening shifts, following established procedures and adapting to a shorter learning curve in final pack operations. Stand or sit at assigned stations for 812 hour shifts, rotating through positions on the line while performing repetitive tasks such as dumping bins and handling small parts. Keep machines in good working condition by following basic cleaning and care routines, and maintain a tidy, organized, and clean work area at all times. Perform all positions associated with the production line, including prepack, loading, quality checks, and support tasks, as directed by production leadership. Accurately complete production reporting for the assigned line, meeting crisp and constant performance measures with minimal downtime and high throughput. Ensure all quality requirements are met by promptly reporting any issues, defects, or failures detected in product or process. Contribute to a continuous flow on the line by avoiding unplanned downtime, including carefully verifying product before dumping, as errors can require extensive cleanup and rework. Handle product carefully during transfer to avoid dropping any bricks on the floor, following strict handling and housekeeping standards. Collaborate and communicate effectively with peers, supporting a culture of respect and teamwork aligned with established company values. Support changeovers between products by assisting with material changes, label updates, and setup adjustments as needed. Participate in quality inspections, machine cleaning, and other routine maintenance activities to keep equipment and workstations in optimal condition. Work within a performancemeasured environment where individual output and accuracy are monitored, and consistently meet or exceed production targets. Assist with inventoryrelated tasks such as loading boxes from pallets, moving product to and from silos, and ensuring correct materials are available at the line. Follow all safety, cleanliness, and compliance requirements, including proper handling of small parts and adherence to facility rules regarding personal items and attire. Essential Skills 12 years of experience in production or manufacturing, preferably in a fastmoving, performancemeasured environment. Handson experience in assembly line or production line work, including repetitive tasks and small parts handling. Background in packaging, general production, warehouse production, or material handling with exposure to production equipment and machine operation. Ability to stand and walk continuously for 812 hour shifts, including turning sidetoside and moving between stations as needed. Ability to lift up to 33 lbs consistently and up to 50 lbs when loading full boxes from pallets and dumping bricks via silos into machines. Strong manual dexterity for grabbing, pinching, and handling very small parts constantly, including reaching away from the body and performing bending and squatting motions. Demonstrated job tenure of 12 years in prior roles with stable employment history and no unexplained large gaps. Previous experience in environments where performance is measured and monitored, such as production, manufacturing, or fastpaced service industries. Attention to detail and accuracy in matching labels, verifying product numbers, and following standardized work instructions. Ability to follow strict quality standards and promptly report defects, issues, or failures to maintain product integrity. Comfort working in a highly repetitive, fastpaced role with very limited downtime. Reliability and strong attendance, meeting expectations for punctuality and adherence to schedule. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in fastmoving productionrelated industries, including environments such as fast food where speed and accuracy are critical. Exposure to operating or working alongside automated production equipment and machinery. Prior experience with packaging, labeling, packing orders, inventory, loading, and general labor in a production setting. Familiarity with quality checks and inspection processes on a production or assembly line. Ability to work effectively in a teamoriented environment with clear communication and cooperation among peers. Willingness to learn new machine operator tasks and progress into higherlevel roles as experience grows. Comfort with structured performance feedback and training benchmarks designed to support skill growth. Capacity to adapt to changeovers, new products, and evolving automation requirements in a growing facility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Colonial Heights, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.80 - $21.80/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
