Job Description

The Team Leader is responsible for all functions as it pertains to Safety, 5S, Product Quality, and Schedule attainment in an assigned business unit. You must be detailed, organized, and understand schedule requirements to maintain on-time delivery. You must be able to work across all functional areas and utilize critical resources effectively. You must have strong trouble shooting skills and be able to resolve basic problems and drive Continuous Improvement efforts across your area.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate work assignments across the team and ensure maximum efficiency of workflow. Must be willing to work extended hours to ensure productivity requirements are met You must ensure compliance with company's key metrics in Safety, Quality, Inventory and Delivery. Utilize internal resources to resolve problems in design, routing, quality, and continuous improvement. Ensure key supplies are maintained to perform the jobs effectively Must be willing to train teammates as necessary Maintains and orders consumables such as PCOS/ Kanban parts or other materials needed for the department. Monitors the completion of all daily tasks and serves as department point of contact to internal customer base. Continuous Improvement mindset and look for ways to improve process workflow Must understand constraints to internal customer and minimize impact to OTD Able to assist in the creation of Standard Work instruction for process improvement Must be able to interpret / communicate oral and written instructions and follow directions Must have strong organizational and time management skills and be able to prioritize work effectively Must pay close attention to detail Must be willing to work extended hours and overtime as needed Must be able to work independently of management and maintain a high level of integrity High school or GED required for this role Must be a participant in the Safety Committee Will be required to take the OSHA 10 course
Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED 2-3 years Leadership experience preferred not required. Ability to work beyond standard production hours.
