Job Summary The Bilingual Point of Contact (POC) supports daily manufacturing operations by serving as the primary communication link between English- and Spanish-speaking employees, supervisors, and external partners. This role ensures accurate translation of verbal and written communication and provides cross-functional support as a backup to Shipping/Receiving and Production Scheduling.
Schedule:
Monday to Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30
Key Responsibilities:
Bilingual Communication & Translation Provide on-the-floor, real-time interpretation between English- and Spanish-speaking employees and leadership. Translate work instructions, safety procedures, SOPs, training materials, and internal communications. Ensure clarity and cultural appropriateness in all communications. Assist in communicating site goals, quality standards, and safety expectations clearly across language barriers. Operational Support Serve as backup in Shipping/Receiving Department, including: Receiving incoming materials and verifying against purchase orders and packing slips Preparing and processing outbound shipments Coordinating with carriers and maintaining shipping documentation Provide support for Production Scheduling, including: Updating and maintaining production schedules Assisting in updating daily and weekly production schedules Communicating schedule changes to production teams and supervisors Helping track production progress and reporting delays or issues Translate and reinforce safety policies, procedures, regulatory compliance and training to ensure full understanding and compliance. Assist during safety meetings, audits, and quality incident investigations as needed. Facilitate communication between production, warehouse, quality, and management teams. Participate in shift meetings to relay critical updates and ensure alignment. Help troubleshoot workflow or communication issues on the production floor. Maintain accurate records, production updates, and shipping/receiving activities. Assist with data entry in ERP, WMS or manufacturing systems. Prepare basic reports and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
Fluency in English and Spanish (required; must be able to interpret and translate in real time). Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Work Environment:
Combination of office and warehouse/production floor Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
Pay:
$44,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
