Job Description SUMMARY:
The Production Associate is responsible for the production of books, puzzles, framed and unframed prints, shipping and packing as well as other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor. The position includes operating manufacturing equipment and maintaining compliance with Subatomic Digital's high standards of quality products delivered on-time. This role will be engaged with the team and will understand business initiatives to improve delivery, quality, safety, cost, and our evolving culture moving towards High Performance Team standards The position includes Completion of the released production schedule for books within allotted production times. Clearly and concisely communicates with both the team and management. Monitoring of raw materials in given area of responsibility and providing list to our designated Purchaser when material ordering is needed. Assists with the training of team members, to include seasonal staff on various equipment as assigned. Preventative maintenance on production machines and Xerox printing equipment. Understanding the printer's capabilities and workflow. Keep track of consumables, parts and supplies. Notify Supervisor when parts or supplies are needed. Communicate with the technicians regarding scheduling, problem solving, supply needs, training and technical questions. Utilize OMS(Order Management System) to update product flow and locations, log production errors. Assist with monthly inventory counts, provide finance team with results. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Strong mechanical aptitude for production operations; with a preference for some manufacturing experience. High School or equivalent. Some production experience is required Ability to make decisions, communicate and solve problems. Self-motivated team player who models appropriate communication, flexibility, and collaboration. Ability to get along with others, be punctual, demonstrate satisfactory attendance, and follow instructions from others. Basic computer skills. Basic mathematical skills.
WORKING CONDITION
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulation. Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights, up to 50 pounds. Over-time, including weekends, is required for the fourth quarter of the year (October - December). Work Remotely No
