Job Description
Do you consider yourself a hands-on crafty person? Cowlitz Container & Display is looking for someone who wants to grow with the company and learn various skills and roles, with opportunity to become a specialty department lead when the time is right. Starting out as a Fine Goods Production Worker , you'll learn how to work efficiently with textiles and materials to produce high end desk accessories. The right person for this role is someone who has high attention to detail, can work wood, wool, metal, and other materials, and can stand for 10 hours a day producing finished goods. You'll also practice safety in the manufacturing environment and show management you can take on more responsibility.
Summary:
As a Fine Goods Production Worker, you are responsible for assisting with set up for machine jobs, keeping track of production numbers (counting products), stacking or palletizing finished goods, cleaning after jobs are completed, and upholding safety, quality, productivity and cost standards.- We prioritize safety, promote a positive team environment, and work alongside you to get the job done.
Requirements:
- Must be reliable to arrive on time and meet attendance expectations.
- Must be able to count, read, write and speak English proficiently and perform basic mathematics.
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, and kneel.
- Must be flexible to learn new jobs and take on assignments as needed.
- The job may be performed at our Kalama location on occassion.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required
