« Back to all jobs Print Designer Contract type Freelance Location Seattle , WA Specialty Retail Remote No Reference 515859 Contact name Megan Nixon Apply For This Job Job description Print Designer We are seeking a skilled Freelance Print Designer to help transform creative concepts into accurate, production-ready artwork. In this role, you will refine print files, develop seamless repeats, prepare detailed art packs, and ensure all files meet technical and manufacturing standards. The ideal candidate combines exceptional attention to detail with strong knowledge of print production workflows and digital design tools. Job Scope Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technical Artwork Development Refine and prepare print artwork for production, ensuring files are accurate, complete, and ready for manufacturing. Create, edit, troubleshoot, and finalize seamless repeat patterns. Build well-organized layered files that support efficient design development and production handoff. Adjust artwork scale, repeat measurements, layouts, color separations, and file structure to align with production specifications. Compile art packs and supporting documentation for internal teams, vendors, and manufacturing partners. Evaluate artwork for potential production concerns and recommend practical solutions that maintain the original creative direction. Collaborate with design, product development, and cross-functional partners to confirm artwork is production-ready. Maintain consistent file naming, version control, organization, and archive practices throughout the project lifecycle. Skill Requirements Qualifications include, but are not limited to: Technical Skills Demonstrated experience developing seamless repeats and preparing print files for production. Ability to clean, revise, and optimize artwork for a variety of print applications. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Ned Graphics. Working knowledge of textile printing processes, fabric construction, production methods, and manufacturing constraints. Ability to adapt artwork across different materials, scales, repeat formats, and production techniques. Experience with PLM platforms and Microsoft Office applications is preferred.
