DOE Opportunity for increased hours and full-time employment as production grows About the Position We are a growing confectionery manufacturing operation in Sedro-Woolley looking for an experienced, hands-on production specialist to help manufacture gummy confections and liquid products. This is a lean manufacturing environment where the right person will have meaningful responsibility for batch production, consistency, quality and day-to-day production execution. This is not a restaurant line-cook position . We are looking for someone with experience in confectionery, candy, food, beverage, nutraceutical or similar batch-manufacturing environments who understands how to produce repeatable products at commercial scale. The position will initially be scheduled around production demand, with the opportunity for increased hours and a full-time role as manufacturing volume grows. Responsibilities Produce commercial batches of gummy confections Produce liquid and beverage-style products Accurately weigh and stage ingredients according to formulas and batch sheets Follow established recipes, formulas and production procedures Operate commercial cooking, mixing, heating and depositing equipment Monitor temperature, cooking time, consistency, texture and other critical production variables Maintain consistent product weight, appearance, texture and quality Complete production and batch documentation accurately Track ingredient usage, yields and production quantities Perform production setup and breakdown Clean and sanitize equipment between production runs Maintain an exceptionally clean and organized production environment Identify and troubleshoot production issues Assist with scale-up and production-process improvements Follow established food-safety, sanitation and quality-control procedures Assist with other manufacturing functions as needed Ideal Experience Experience in one or more of the following is strongly preferred: Gummy manufacturing Candy or confectionery manufacturing Pectin-based confections Gelatin-based confections Beverage production Syrups or liquid formulations Commercial batch cooking Nutraceutical or supplement manufacturing Food manufacturing Commercial kitchens with batch-production experience Direct gummy-manufacturing experience is especially valuable. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Extremely consistent and detail-oriented Comfortable following formulas and batch sheets precisely Strong with weights, measurements and production math Able to recognize when a batch is not behaving correctly Comfortable troubleshooting production issues Clean and organized Dependable when scheduled Comfortable working independently Comfortable working in a small, growing manufacturing operation Interested in helping improve production processes as the company scales We value practical manufacturing knowledge over job titles. If you have spent time actually making candy, gummies, beverages, supplements or other batch-produced products commercially, we want to hear from you. Schedule This position will initially be part-time with variable/on-call production hours . Production days will be scheduled according to manufacturing demand. The ideal candidate has reasonable scheduling flexibility and is interested in increasing their hours as production volume grows. There is a clear opportunity for this position to develop into a consistent part-time or full-time manufacturing role. Compensation Pay is DOE and will be based on relevant manufacturing experience and demonstrated capability. Candidates with direct gummy, confectionery or commercial batch-production experience may command higher compensation.
