A Day in the Life of a Sewing Machine Repair Technician As a Sewing Machine Repair Technician at Quality SewingVacuum, your main responsibility is to ensure our customers' sewing machines run like new. Each day, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve a wide variety of maintenance and repair issues, ranging from machine setup to replacing critical parts. You will use your mechanical aptitude to work with electro-mechanical components, while maintaining accurate documentation of your repairs and managing parts inventory. This role is ideal for those who enjoy working with their hands and are passionate about detail. While we hope to find technicians with previous experience, we understand this is a unique trade. Quality Sewing has a mentor-led, hands-on, training program for all new technicians. If you have a good mechanical aptitude and experience repairing electromechanical devices, like appliances, cars, and ATMs, you will love this work! Quality Sewing will provide you with everything you need to get the job done. Tools, parts, and training. You just need to bring a great attitude and a willingness to provide our customers with a great experience. Position Summary We are seeking a motivated, full-time Sewing Machine Repair Technician to join our service team in Tukwila, WA. Your main responsibility will be to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of sewing machines.
Key Responsibilities DiagnosticsRepair:
Diagnose and resolve maintenance and repair issues on various sewing machine models.
Machine SetupRecords:
Set up new machines and maintain accurate documentation of machine repairs and parts.
Inventory Control:
Maintain inventory of critical parts and submit orders as needed.
Skill Advancement:
Expand technical knowledge through ongoing manufacturer and in-house training.
QualificationsSkills Education/Experience:
2-year technical degree or equivalent repair experience (2+ years preferred).
Technical Aptitude:
Experience performing maintenance on electro-mechanical devices (sewing machine repair experience is a huge plus).
Document Literacy:
Ability to read service manuals, parts catalogs, and circuit diagrams.
Precision Tools:
Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments and tools.
Key Traits:
Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PayBenefits Compensation:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour, depending on experience (DOE).
