Description
POSITION OBJECTIVE
To set up and operate machine at or above specified target levels throughput, yield, and rework, by following all approved production and quality documentation
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Check production schedule to ensure the correct product and materials are in the room Responsible for setup and/or shutdown of equipment Responsible that areas in room remain clean Ensure machine process parameters are being followed Ensure correct recipe are being used Daily communication to supervisor of any problems that occur Cross train new operators on machines Ensure company practices and procedures are being carried out effectively. Ensure daily rework is being fulfilled Correctly complete the necessary paperwork Ensure that the production floor is a safe environment, free from hazards Other duties assigned Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
2 years hands on experience in manufacturing environment is preferred On the job training provided.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES
Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and procedures Ability to pay close attention to detail Skill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the job Skill in multitasking and time management Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departments Ability to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidential Ability to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defense
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communication Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers Must be able to reach, touch, grasp Must be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time Must be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and push Must be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floor Must be able to work in various environments based on building location and products.
Level of Physical Requirements:
Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 40 pounds
