Monday-Friday Build Your Future with Pregis As a Converting Operator I, you'll play a key role operating converting equipment, monitoring product quality, supporting production goals, and helping to ensure a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, working with machinery, and developing technical skills that can lead to advancement opportunities within operations. What You'll Do Machine Operation & Production Safely operate assigned converting equipment to support daily production goals. Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout production runs. Maintain production materials and supplies to minimize machine downtime. Meet or exceed production standards while maintaining quality expectations. Learn and demonstrate proficiency on multiple converting machines. Quality & Process Control Conduct visual and physical inspections to ensure products meet quality standards. Perform quality audits and accurately record inspection results. Identify and report quality concerns to prevent non-conforming products and reduce waste. Read and follow work instructions, production documents, and machine specifications. Calculate and verify production data as required. Packaging & Inventory Support Package, palletize, label, and prepare finished goods for shipment. Create and apply product labels. Properly dispose of production scrap according to procedures. Accurately record production information within machine and production systems. Safety & Workplace Organization Participate in workplace organization initiatives, including 5S activities. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support continuous improvement efforts and promote safety protocols Teamwork & Communication Communicate effectively during shift transitions to ensure smooth production handoffs. Work collaboratively with operators, technicians, and other team members. Assist coworkers and support team success whenever possible. Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment. What We're Looking For Required Skills Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic computer and technical skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures. Dependable, safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset. Reliable transportation and consistent attendance. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop throughout the workday. Ability to work safely around manufacturing equipment and moving machinery. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Stable work history with at least three years of employment experience. Manufacturing, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred. Experience working in a quality-driven environment is a plus.
