Schedule:

Monday•Friday, 9:00 AM•5:00 PM Position Overview 3D Molecular Designs is hiring 3-5 Seasonal Production Workers for the summer term. This role involves the manufacture and assembly of interactive molecular models used in STEM education. While this position is structured for college students, it is open to any qualified applicant. Successful seasonal employees may have the opportunity to transition into a part-time internship during the academic year. Mandatory Training Selected candidates must attend all days of specialized equipment safety and operations training.

Dates:

June 1st•June 4th

Hours:

Generally 9:00 AM•5:00 PM (Final schedule confirmed upon hire)

Primary Responsibilities Machinery Operation:

Operate plastic injection molding and die-cutting machines.

Assembly:

Assemble 3D-printed parts, components, and finished kits.

Packaging:

Bag, box, and label products according to specifications.

Quality Control:

Inspect parts for defects and ensure products meet established standards.

Process Improvement:

Collaborate with the production team and technicians to resolve manufacturing roadblocks and improve efficiency.

Maintenance:

Assist in maintaining a clean and organized production and office space.

Communication:

Participate in regular staff meetings and coordinate with technical staff.

Key Skills and Competencies Manual Dexterity:

Ability to handle small components with precision and operate machinery steadily.

Task Focus:

Capacity to maintain quality and attention to detail during repetitive manual production tasks.

Technical Troubleshooting:

Ability to identify and communicate mechanical or process-related issues.

Reliability:

Commitment to a consistent 1st-shift schedule and a "safety-first" manufacturing mindset.

Requirements Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs occasionally and remain standing/active for the duration of the shift.

Skills:

Basic arithmetic and the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Transportation:

Reliable transportation to the Downtown Milwaukee facility.
