Job Title:
General Production Worker Job Description The general production worker plays a vital role in the final stages of the manufacturing process, ensuring that finished goods meet quality standards and are correctly sorted, labeled, and packaged according to customer specifications. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who is committed to maintaining a safe, efficient, and clean workspace while supporting overall production flow. Responsibilities Sort finished goods accurately according to customer specifications and internal standards. Label products clearly and correctly to ensure proper identification and traceability. Package finished goods securely and neatly to meet quality and customer requirements. Inspect products for defects or inconsistencies and ensure all items meet established quality standards. Use a tape measure with precision, including measurements down to 1/32 inch, to verify product dimensions. Follow established production procedures and work instructions to maintain consistent output. Support general production and general labor tasks as needed to keep the production line running smoothly. Maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work area in accordance with workplace safety guidelines. Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or quality concerns to appropriate personnel. Adhere to all safety protocols and practices within the warehouse and production environment. Essential Skills Proven attention to detail in a production, general labor, or general production environment. Ability to use a tape measure accurately, including reading measurements down to 1/32 inch. Solid mechanical aptitude and comfort working around production equipment. Capability to perform inspection tasks to verify product quality and conformity. Experience with packaging processes in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Reliability in following safety procedures and maintaining an efficient workspace. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in the final stages of production. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in production, general labor, or general warehouse operations. Familiarity with labeling and sorting processes in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working across different shifts as needed by the operation. Ability to work both independently and as part of a production team. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a typical warehouse setting that is comfortable, organized, and well lit, though not climate controlled. Team members work around standard production and packaging equipment and are expected to follow all safety guidelines. Shifts are structured as 1st shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and 3rd shift from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The environment supports steady, hands-on work with a focus on efficiency and quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Neenah, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
