Essential Functions:
Leadership:
Lead and motivate others in a positive manner, including encouraging others follow work instructions, achieve standards and goals. Provide corrective feedback and work with manager to provide corrective action to team members. Assure team members perform tasks according to established procedures. Coach and develop new team members and temporary employees in small groups and one-on-one.
Continuous Improvement:
Follow and write documented standard work procedures (SOPs) to eliminate variation and promote sharing of knowledge. Ensure all employees are adhering to (SOP's) Cross train in related functions and assist others in obtaining cross-functional capabilities. Support and embrace CI (Continuous Improvement) culture and methodology.
Training:
Create any needed training resources, including work instructions, standard work, and visual aids. Assist in developing, implementing, and promoting the skills training matrix program. Able to conduct effective individual and small-group training for team members. Identify training needs and opportunities throughout work instructions auditing. Review training content for accuracy on a fixed schedule. Run training reports and metrics. Facilitate and conduct new hire orientation as needed. Participate in daily and weekly tier meetings. Working flexible hours to support training & production needs. Actively engage with production teams and supervisors. Assist with coordination and delivery of all required monthly training for Menasha in adherence to the progression of the training matrix requirements. Develop a positive learning culture at Menasha. Assist department leads/mentors with skills training matrix completion and other training needs.
Attributes:
Desire and willingness to commit to on-going professional development, including Menasha specific and other training and development opportunities as directed. Attends training and required meetings outside normal work schedule, typically two or fewer per month after initial training period. Strong interpersonal skills - you care about people and are passionate about helping others!
Microsoft Office skills:
Windows, Outlook, Point, SAP, Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Communication Expectations:
The position routinely requires verbal and written communication in English in order to complete the daily business requirements. Verbal communications include but are not limited to team meetings to discuss daily department requirements, onboarding, train to work instructions to new and existing team members, meetings and communication with peers and leadership team. Written communications include, but are not limited to department paperwork, continuous improvement projects updates, document work instructions, and update skills training matrix.
Performance Measures & Outcomes:
Adherence to safety policies and procedures Quality of work Production goals HACCP and auditor certified
Education & Certification:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred LEAN Certification(s) preferred
Work Experience:
Required:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Desired:
Previous training experience preferred.
Desired:
Previous formal or informal leadership experience.
