$31-$40/hour Position Overview A growing manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Team Lead to support 3rd-shift production within a composites manufacturing department. This is a hands-on lead position combining production leadership with advanced technical responsibilities. The Team Lead will coordinate operators, equipment, materials, and workflow while also serving as a technical resource for machine setup, operation, troubleshooting, and employee training. Key Responsibilities Lead daily 3rd-shift production activities and help maintain efficient workflow through the department. Coordinate operators, equipment, materials, and production priorities. Train, mentor, and support production employees. Set up and operate manufacturing equipment used within the department. Perform advanced machine setups and production tasks to required specifications. Support machine programming and process adjustments as needed. Troubleshoot production, tooling, and equipment-related issues. Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment. Ensure work orders are completed accurately and on schedule. Monitor safety, quality, productivity, and overall shift performance. Identify opportunities to improve processes, workflow, and efficiency. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area. Serve as the primary technical resource for less-experienced operators. Qualifications Previous experience in a manufacturing, machining, fabrication, composites, or similar production environment. Prior experience as a Team Lead, Lead Operator, Senior Operator, or similar production leadership role preferred. Strong hands-on experience setting up and operating manufacturing equipment. Ability to troubleshoot machinery and production processes. Experience training or mentoring production employees. Strong basic shop math skills. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other measuring tools. Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and production specifications. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Must be available to work 3rd shift and overtime as needed.
