The Opportunity:
Harken is seeking a Canvas Products Assistant to join our team. This role will serve as a backup to the Canvas Products Coordinator, assisting with the creation and release of work orders and sales orders. This role will also support daily operations within the Canvas department by assisting with order processing, production preparation, and other departmental duties as needed.
What you will do:
Act as the back-up to the Canvas Products Coordinator Assist in creating and releasing work orders and sales orders Assist with monitoring and prioritizing Canvas orders to support production schedules and customer commitments Assist with updating order information and maintaining accurate records in the ERP system Communicate with internal departments regarding order status, priorities, and production needs Assist with resolving basic order or production issues and escalate more complex issues to the Canvas Products Coordinator or Supervisor Assist with inventory-related tasks, including checking material availability and communicating shortages Develop the technical knowledge required for all aspects of the role Contribute to identifying problems, improving processes and implementing appropriate solutions to support reducing lead times and improving through-put and cost Kit, cut and prep items for home sewers Complete basic sewing projects Pull, pack and prepare orders for shipment Maintain a clean and orderly work area Follow prescribed safety regulations Operate all equipment safely and effectively Work effectively in a team environment Provide training, as requested, to other employees Demonstrate dependability, attention to detail and the ability to produce quality work Other duties as assigned What you bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Ability to learn and effectively use computer systems and ERP software Key Skills for Success include: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Ability to work independently as well as function effectively in cross-functional teams Ability to communicate professionally with suppliers and internal customers Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage changing priorities Ability to learn and effectively use ERP systems Strong communication skills with internal and external customers and across departments Why you will love working at
