Purpose of Position:
Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte, Contadina and S&W. We are currently seeking Seasonal Warehouse Production Workers. Del Monte Foods in Plover, Wisconsin is hiring Seasonal Warehouse Production Operators - Grade 1 to support production lines, packaging operations, empty can handling, labeling systems, palletizing activities, warehouse support, and product flow during pack season operations. Employees may work in production support, labeling, palletizing, reconditioning, can supply, or warehouse support functions throughout the facility. Accountabilities:
Seasonal Warehouse Production Operator - Grade 1 employees perform entry-level warehouse, packaging, palletizing, labeling, can handling, production support, and material movement duties in a food manufacturing environment. Employees in these positions help maintain product flow, packaging quality, line efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational support throughout production and warehouse areas. Employees may be assigned to various warehouse and production support functions based on operational needs, training, qualifications, and seasonal demands. Work areas may include glass line operations, empty can handling and can supply, label line operations, reconditioning operations, whallon/palletizer operations, label line support, product coding and label verification pallet handling and divider sheet placement, tray and label inventory support, packaging support and product flow coordination, warehouse cleanup and operational support Key Responsibilities for Warehouse Production Grade 1 Roles Employees may perform duties in one or more operational areas, including: Support production lines by maintaining product flow and supplying empty cans, trays, labels, or packaging materials
Operate or assist with labeling systems, palletizers, conveyors, hoists, or production support equipment
Monitor labels, product codes, tray printing, tags, and packaging quality for accuracy
Remove defective, damaged, mislabeled, or improperly coded product from production lines
Position pallets, place divider sheets, stack product, or remove finished pallets as required
Assist with can handling, can pushing, reconditioning, or pallet preparation activities
Maintain accurate production, inventory, pallet, or labeling records
Monitor production lines for jams, defects, or operational concerns and report issues to leadership
Assist with cleanup, cardboard disposal, reconditioning, and general housekeeping duties
Maintain clean and organized work areas, platforms, and operational spaces
Follow GMP, food safety, lockout/tagout, and workplace safety requirements
Communicate operational concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to leadership
Assist with cross-functional operational support as assigned Training On-the-job training is provided for all assigned work areas. Employees may be cross trained in multiple operational functions based on business needs. Minimum Skills Required:
Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards during extended shifts
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks throughout assigned shifts
Ability to safely lift, move, push, pull, or carry cases, trays, divider sheets, or packaging materials
Ability to read and understand labels, product codes, tags, or production information
Ability to maintain accurate production or operational records
Ability to climb stairs, maneuver around uneven surfaces, and work around production equipment safely
Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and leadership
Reliable attendance and dependability throughout the seasonal production period
Previous manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, transportation, forklift, or industrial experience
Previous experience operating forklifts, industrial trucks, or production equipment
CDL license or commercial driving experience for applicable assignments - training provided if required
Previous manufacturing, warehouse, packaging, or production support experience
Previous experience working around conveyors, palletizers, or packaging equipment
Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification for applicable assignments
Experience with labeling systems, inventory tracking, or palletizing operations
Basic computer or scanning experience
Experience with production documentation or recordkeeping
Bilingual communication skills are a plus but not required.
