Responsibilities Purpose:
The Team Lead is an integral part of the production team, responsible for supporting and guiding a group of 8-12 team members under the supervision of a Group Leader (Supervisor). The focus is on developing team capabilities and maintaining a high standard of work through effective leadership and continuous improvement.
Position Responsibilities:
Primary duties: Assimilate and train new team members within their area, serving as the point of contact for new additions. Lead daily pre-shift meetings to update the team on safety, quality, HR, and production goals. Ensure all team members are following safety procedures and obtain proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for them when necessary. Collaborate with team members to generate and support ideas for continuous improvement, and maintain a mindset of continuous improvement in all activities. Escalate any production issues or systemic problems to the Group Leader. Maintain communication from shift to shift with other Team Leads and Leaders. Update and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other metrics for the area/zone. Create, maintain, and audit Team Member Standard Work. Be responsible for completing Hour by Hour Boards, 5S Audits, Dupont Stop Observations, and work stacks. Ability to navigate conflict and reach resolution through coaching and support from the Group and Area Leaders. Utilize SAP to aid in the manufacturing process. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications What You Need To Succeed:
Prior experience leading others in a work or volunteer capacity. Understanding of manufacturing processes is preferred. Must possess a genuine people-centric mentality and a heart for servant leadership. Excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving and troubleshooting ability. Proven leadership capabilities. High school diploma or equivalent.
