Job Description

Associate Production Scientist As an Associate Production Scientist at MilliporeSigma, you will support the manufacture of high-quality reagents and materials for biopharmaceutical and life science applications. You will prepare buffers and media, execute lab-scale and pilot-scale production runs, and operate equipment such as bioreactors, filtration systems, and chromatography skids. You will perform in-process and final QC tests, maintain precise batch records, and follow GMP-like and safety standards. In this collaborative, science-driven environment, you will partner with R D, quality, and engineering teams while developing your technical skills and advancing your career. Execute lab- and pilot-scale production of biopharmaceutical reagents under GMP-like conditions Prepare buffers, media, and solutions following standardized formulations and SOPs Operate, calibrate, and maintain production and analytical equipment (e.g., bioreactors, filtration, chromatography) Perform in-process and final quality control assays to verify product specifications Document all activities accurately in batch records and electronic systems to meet regulatory and quality standards Support troubleshooting of process deviations and participate in root-cause investigations Collaborate with R D, quality, and engineering teams to transfer and optimize production processes Follow safety protocols, maintain a clean, compliant lab environment, and adhere to EHS guidelines Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and product quality Bioprocessing techniques (upstream or downstream) Buffer and media preparation Operation of bioreactors and related equipment Filtration and chromatography methods Basic analytical and QC assays (e.g., pH, conductivity, spectrophotometry) GMP or GMP-like documentation and compliance Use of lab/plant electronic systems (e.g., LIMS, ERP, electronic batch records) Aseptic technique and cleanroom practices Deviation documentation and basic troubleshooting Adherence to EHS and lab safety procedures Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k GMP or cGMP training or certification (preferred) Safety or EHS training relevant to lab or production environments Bioprocessing or biomanufacturing coursework or certificate (preferred)
