Production Supervisor Description This summer internship offers students hands-on exposure to a fast-paced operations environment. Interns will support production, logistics, and/or quality teams with a variety of tasks that contribute to meeting operational demands while gaining real-world experience. This role is ideal for students interested in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, engineering, or operations management. Key Responsibilities Intern responsibilities may vary based on department needs and interests, and may include: Production Support Assist with daily production activities and reporting Help monitor workflow, schedules, and inventory levels Support data collection and basic analysis related to production performance Participate in continuous improvement or lean initiatives Logistics & Supply Chain Support Assist with shipping, receiving, and material flow activities Support inventory tracking and documentation Help coordinate freight, packaging, or warehouse activities Maintain accurate records and assist with process improvements Quality Support Assist with inspections, audits, and quality documentation Support root cause analysis and corrective action tracking Help maintain quality records, work instructions, or procedures Participate in quality improvement or compliance activities General Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures Complete special projects as assigned Attend meetings, training sessions, and plant tours to broaden exposure Learning Opportunities Exposure to real-world production, logistics, and quality operations Mentorship from experienced professionals Understanding of manufacturing and operational processes Development of teamwork, problem-solving, and professional skills Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Currently enrolled in high school, college, or university Strong interest in manufacturing and operations environments Ability to work in a team-oriented, hands-on setting Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook) Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills Willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks Physical / Work Environment Ability to work in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment May require standing, walking, or lifting light materials, depending on assignment Adherence to safety and PPE requirements
