Position Overview TLI Enterprises is seeking a detail-oriented Incoming Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Department on Swing Shift. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming customer material to ensure it meets company quality standards, engineering specifications, customer requirements, and internal acceptance criteria before entering production. The successful candidate will play a critical role in protecting product quality by identifying discrepancies early, documenting inspection results, and ensuring only conforming material is released for manufacturing. Essential ResponsibilitiesIncoming Inspection Perform visual inspections of incoming customer material for quantity, cosmetic condition, workmanship, and dimensional accuracy. Verify incoming material against engineering drawings, customer specifications, purchase orders, travelers, and internal quality requirements. Perform measurements using basic inspection equipment to ensure compliance with acceptance standards. Documentation & Quality Records Accurately document inspection results using company software and electronic quality records. Maintain organized digital inspection files to support product traceability and quality documentation. Clearly communicate inspection findings and material status with Production, Quality, and Operations teams. Non-Conforming Material Identify, document, tag, and segregate non-conforming material in accordance with company quality procedures. Assist in determining material disposition while maintaining accurate records of quality discrepancies. Material Handling Properly stage, label, and release accepted material to the appropriate production department. Handle customer material carefully to prevent contamination or damage during inspection and movement throughout the facility. Quality & Safety Follow all Quality Management System (QMS) procedures, work instructions, and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while complying with all company safety requirements and PPE standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and workflow. Qualifications Associate degree preferred or 3+ years of experience in Quality Control, Incoming Inspection, or Quality Assurance within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the semiconductor, aerospace, medical device, automotive, or other precision manufacturing industries strongly preferred. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and quality documentation. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with electronic quality records and data entry systems. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities.
