Precision Medical Components Shift:

We provide a full spectrum of machining and fabricating capabilities, from prototyping and component manufacturing to finished device assembly and production, fostering a culture of quality and innovation.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our Quality Assurance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all components, subassemblies, and finished products adhere to stringent customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive inspection skill set, with expertise in GD&T and experience operating advanced inspection equipment, including CMMs (Mitutoyo/MCOSMOS).
Key Responsibilities:
Dimensional and Visual Inspections:
Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies, on precision machined components (Titanium, SST, Plastics, Peek) utilizing a wide range of inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, microscopes, vision systems, and CMMs.
GD&T Interpretation:
Accurately interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T requirements to ensure precise measurement and compliance.
Documentation and Reporting:
Complete detailed inspection records, including Certificates of Conformance (CoC) and Certificates of Analysis (CoA), ensuring traceability and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Non-Conformance Management:
Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances; collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Quality System Adherence:
Support compliance with
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, and other applicable industry standards; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns, promote continuous improvement, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in quality control within a medical device or precision machining environment, with a strong understanding of tight tolerance requirements.
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced knowledge of GD&T and practical application in inspection; hands-on experience with CMM operation (programming is a plus! Mitutoyo/MCOSMOS).
Inspection Equipment Expertise:
Proficient in the use of a wide range of inspection tools, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, optical comparators, microscopes, vision systems, and CMMs.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with material specifications and the ability to understand and verify print requirements; knowledge of
ISO 13485, FDA
regulations, and applicable regulatory standards.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners. Attention to
Detail:
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
