Full Job Description Position Summary:
Responsible for helping maintain the
ISO 9001
Quality Management System (QMS) within a Textile manufacturing environment. Also to assist the QA Manager with certain essential quality activities such as trend analysis, reporting, customer submits, etc. Requires a highly organized, self-driven person who is detail oriented, is a solid problem solver, and is an effective communicator. .
ISO 9001/QMS
Coordination:
Procedure and Document control Oversee and coordinate Internal Audits Oversee internal and external calibrations Maintain and track Corrective/Preventative Actions (CAPA)
QA Lead Coordination:
(duties listed but not limited to) Maintain and analyze trend analysis for yarn and fabric for improvements Prepare weekly quality reports and present findings Release tested/approved lots for shipment Prepare customer submits and maintain logs Prepare and send COA's as required/requested
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Textile Technology or related field is preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with ISO 9001 and manufacturing quality required (textile knit/dye/finishing is preferred). Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Skills and abilities:
Advanced Math skills (fractions, metric conversions, percentages, equations, etc.) Computer literate to understand testing & inventory programs Must have a good eye for color & be able to pass the Munsell Color Perception Test Excellent communication and organizational skills Excellent problem-solving ability Ability to multi-task Works well alone or as part of a team Conscientious & dependable Work environment & Potential Physical demands: Temperature controlled lab and office areas. Concrete floors. Some chemical smell Uncontrolled manufacturing areas regarding temperature and humidity Ability to lift/move rolls that weigh 20 lbs without assistance Ability to climb up & down stairs to office and manufacturing areas Must wear PPE in areas that are required
