Job Title:

Quality Control Inspector Job Summary:

We are seeking an analytical Quality Control Inspector with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our heavy manufacturing facility. In this role, you will focus on inspection of-duty metal parts tailored for the demanding oilfield industry. You will perform precision dimensional and visual inspections to guarantee that all fabricated and machined components meet strict API, ASME, and customer specifications before deployment to the field.

Key Responsibilities Perform Precision Inspections:

Conduct visual and dimensional checks on raw materials, in-process fabrications, and finished metal parts.

Operate Advanced Metrology Tools:

Use precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, bore gauges, and depth gauges .

Utilize Automated Inspection Systems:

to verify complex geometries, measurements, and tolerances.

Interpret Technical Drawings:

Read and analyze complex engineering blueprints, fabrication weldments, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing ( GD&T ) callouts.

Document & Manage NCRs:

Generate detailed inspection reports, maintain Material Test Reports (MTRs), and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) when parts deviate from spec.

Maintain Safety Standards:

Follow strict shop safety rules, wear required PPE and ensure machine guards are properly utilized around heavy fabrication equipment.

Requirements & Skills Experience:

2-5 years of quality inspection experience in a metal fabrication or machining environment (oilfield/oil & gas industry highly preferred).

Tool Proficiency:

Hands-on experience using handheld precision measurement tools and operating CMM or automated inspection hardware.

Math & Blueprint Literacy:

Excellent technical math skills to calculate stack-up tolerances and translate 2D schematics into 3D metal parts.

Physical Capabilities:

Comfortable working in a heavy fabrication shop environment, standing for long shifts, and lifting heavy metal components safely.
