Job Description

AMZ Alabama is hiring a Quality Manager to support the Anniston, AL AMZ Forge and Machine Corp facility. Job Description This role will report directly to the AMZ Alabama Site Quality Manager. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Supervise and train a team of quality inspectors performing receiving and in-process inspections. Lead cross-functional MRB team to evaluate and disposition non-conforming material Manage gage lab to include calibration and tracking of all inspection gages Establish, track, and report KPI's Lead and participate in RCCA investigations Maintain and improve QMS in accordance with
ISO 9001
Minimum Education and Experience:
Associates degree and 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality position Working knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 Required Skills and Education Ability to lead and manage team of quality inspectors Ability to effectively manage calibration program for site Ability to read engineering drawings Skilled in operation of measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, etc. Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Skilled in Root cause corrective action (RCCA) and problem solving Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams Ability to be self-starting and self-motivated to accomplish the company and quality objectives Ability to travel <10% Preferred Skills and Education Experience working with union workforce Knowledge of Geometric Tolerance and Dimensioning (GD&T) Lean/Six Sigma
