Quality Control Assistant Manager

Key Responsibilities Quality System & Compliance Support maintenance of the QMS in compliance with

IATF 16949

Ensure procedures, work instructions, and records are controlled and up to date Assist in internal, external, and customer audits (IATF, HMMA, etc.) Track and close audit findings (major/minor nonconformities) Customer & Supplier Quality Respond to customer complaints and lead containment actions Support 8D / corrective action reports and ensure timely closure Communicate with customers and suppliers regarding quality issues Monitor customer scorecards (PPM, claims, delivery performance) Process & Product Quality Oversee inspections (incoming, in-process, final) Ensure control plans, PFMEA, and inspection standards are followed Monitor KPIs (PPM, scrap, rework, cost of poor quality) Lead daily quality checks and layered process audits Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement Lead root cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, etc.) Implement corrective and preventive actions across similar processes Verify effectiveness of actions and update documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan) Drive scrap reduction and process improvements Team Leadership Supervise quality engineers, inspectors, and technicians Provide training on quality standards and procedures Support team development and performance management Coordinate cross-functional activities (Production, Engineering, Maintenance)

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
