Job Overview :
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Assistant Manager to oversee our quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our products through rigorous quality inspections, audits, and the implementation of effective quality management systems. This position requires a strong understanding of QA/QC practices, regulatory requirements, and a commitment to continuous improvement. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality control for KD parts by managing sorting processes, audit, and the registration of part problem reports (PPR). The role requires overseeing sorting subcontractors, managing quality concerns, and coordinating with HQ and the customer (HMMA) to address defects and meet quality standards. We expect employees to proactively monitor part quality, constructively communicate with the team and the customer, and report quality issues in timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Manage new vehicle launch for KD parts at HMMA
  • Track order status and develop inspection plans for pilot parts.
  • Conduct quality inspections based on the customer's requirement.
  • Cooperate with Glovis HQ to improve quality when an issue arises.
Supervise sorting processes and subcontractors. Oversee sorting operations, ensuring compliance with process standards. Provide guidance to subcontractors to prevent downtime in production line (HMMA). Block defective parts or orders using GCS to prevent nonconforming parts releasing to the customer. Evaluate sorting performances of subcontractors, and report to our customer and Glovis HQ. Dispose nonconforming parts after the sorting process and update inventory status simultaneously. Resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Address quality problems by responding to production line and isolate suspected LOT. Investigate root causes and coordinate solutions with Glovis HQ as soon as possible. Organize sorting schedules upon request from HMMA Quality Control or suppliers. Manage Part Problem Report process. Register PPRs in the GQIMS system following the standard procedures. Review PPR details for accuracy before final submission. Handle scrap (disposal) management
  • Supervise the scrapping process of KD parts damaged in handling, transportation, or assembly.
  • Record scrap data in the system for tracking purposes.
Manage FIFO processes for engineering order (EO) change. Maintain FIFO storage organization for KD parts. Release EO parts to HMMA according to production schedules. Assist with
ISO 9001/14001
certificate renewals. Support insurance claim related to container damage on KD parts. Manage ship back process for KD parts to South Korea when requested by suppliers. Inspect KD parts located in the CC to be able to be detect package issues and other problems in advance. Provide guidance to PM shift team members to ensure smooth operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Provide guidance to PM shift team members to ensure smooth operations is required. Well-organized, efficient, and dedicated to quality control; skilled in driving quality improvements and enhancing the automotive manufacturing environment is required. Experience with Hyundai's quality systems. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with customers and KD part suppliers. QMS/EMS certification experience. Willing to work on weekends and holidays. Highly motivated and self-driven, demonstrating a strong commitment to excellence. Confident and professional in interactions, fostering positive relationships.
