  • Job Number:
  • 18445 FAA and customer quality interface; responsible to the Director of Quality and Engineering for all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance at AAR Component Services - Hot Springs. Provides management oversight of the quality organization.
  • Follow company policies and procedures Review analysis of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to determine department or company progress toward stated goals and objectives
  • Assure that personnel have access to company policies and procedures as applicable
  • Assure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Management of the Technical Publications Library; assuring that the necessary technical data is available and current for the work to be performed
  • Management of the Metrology and NDT Labs
  • Communicates the resources needs of the department
  • Continually monitors the effectiveness of the quality system and the performance of quality personnel within the organization and ensure that their training needs are met
  • Manages and monitors the operation of the evaluation process to ensure it's continued reliability and effectiveness
  • Assure the effectiveness of the calibration system
  • Assure that repair station certifications are maintained and current
  • Make application to the local F.S.D.O. office for repairman certificates when required
  • Make application to the local F.S.D.O. requesting changes to repair station ratings as applicable.
  • Submit reports of defects or un-airworthy conditions to the FAA and operators as applicable
  • Collaborate with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals
  • Manages to fiscal budget
  • Other various duties as necessary or assigned
  • Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
  • Prefer 5-7 years of progressive supervisory experience in a quality environment, with demonstrated leadership in a quality control or quality assurance function.
  • Candidates must also possess a strong technical background supporting aerospace operations, including working knowledge of AS9100 and NADCAP standards, with the ability to apply regulatory, engineering, and quality requirements in a highly technical environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work; meet deadlines
