Certified Welding Inspector Welding Full Job Description QA/QC Manager•Structural Steel Erection | TSMC & High-Tech Projects Arizona | Relocation Assistance Available $100K•150K DOE + Benefits + Per Diem We're working with a major structural steel contractor that's heavily involved in some of the largest high-tech construction projects in the country — including semiconductor builds at TSMC. This is not a sit-behind-a-desk quality role. They need someone who understands structural steel in the field: erection welding bolting inspections turnover packages working directly with supers, ironworkers, inspectors, and clients on active industrial jobsites If you've been around large steel projects and know how to maintain quality without killing production, this is the type of role worth looking at. What You'll Actually Be Doing Lead QA/QC efforts for structural steel erection on large industrial/high-tech construction projects Oversee field inspections for: steel erection welding bolting coatings anchoring Work directly with superintendents, project managers, inspectors, and client reps Handle NCRs, corrective actions, punch items, and turnover documentation Review weld procedures, welder certs, inspection reports, and steel documentation Coordinate with third-party inspectors and clients during inspections and walkthroughs Make sure work is being completed to AWS, AISC, ASTM, and project specifications Help drive quality while keeping the project moving What They're Looking For Strong background in structural steel construction Experience in field QA/QC on industrial, mission critical, semiconductor, or large commercial projects

Knowledge of:

steel erection welding inspections bolting inspections QA documentation turnover packages Ability to read drawings, specs, and weld details without needing constant direction Someone comfortable being out on the jobsite and working directly with field crews Big Plus If You Have

AWS CWI NACE / AMPP OSHA 30
