Job Description

Overview QC Aerospace Manager (AS9100) We are seeking an experienced QC Aerospace Manager to lead quality control and quality assurance activities in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining an AS9100-compliant quality management system, ensuring product conformity, leading audits and corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement across inspection, supplier quality, and customer quality performance. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain the company's AS9100 quality management system and ensure ongoing compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure product conformity and timely release.
  • Plan and lead internal, customer, and third-party audits, and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Drive root cause analysis and nonconformance management using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5-Why, or similar approaches.
  • Oversee control of nonconforming material, disposition processes, and quality documentation including procedures, records, and work instructions.
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams to improve quality, reduce defects, and support on-time delivery.
  • Manage supplier quality performance, customer complaints, and quality-related communications with external stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, and develop inspectors, technicians, and quality staff while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Track and report quality metrics, including scrap, rework, escapes, audit findings, and corrective action effectiveness. Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive quality leadership experience in aerospace, aviation, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 requirements; familiarity with
ISO 9001, FAA
regulations, AS9102 First Article Inspection,Nadcap, CAPA, and audit processes is highly desirable.

Must be able to do audits for AS9100
  • Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as RCCA, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Must know Microsoft Excel and Word and Adobe
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence cross-functional partners, and communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and executives.
  • Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to process improvement.

$75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
