standard operating procedures and project documents and requirements. This role executes and documents the three phases of quality control (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up) in a timely manner, and works effectively with project managers, project engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, A/E firms, and clients. Responsibilities Develop the Quality Control Plan in accordance with contract requirements or GLB standard operating procedures. Ensure all Definable Features of Work are included in the QCP, per contract documents. Perform the 3-Phases of Quality Control to achieve the highest quality of craftsmanship and minimize rework. Manage and coordinate rework with the project Superintendent and subcontractors. Assist with all inspections and special testing requirements, including coordination, attendance, and documentation. Identify, address, and resolve potential constructability risks, coordinating with the A/E team as required. Support the Superintendent in managing GLB employees and subcontractors on site, enforcing company policies and procedures. Document daily QCM activities in detail, and Superintendent activities as needed. Maintain effective working relationships with inspectors, owners, architects, engineers, public agencies, and subcontractors. Participate in project bidding, budgeting, subcontractor selection, schedule creation, and value engineering. Organize and maintain contract documents, including drawings, submittals, RFIs, and daily logs. Participate in progress meetings, providing input on progress, upcoming work, and potential delays or conflicts. Coordinate and supervise delivery of materials, tools, and equipment to the jobsite. Ensure all delivered material and equipment comply with contract documents. Evaluate workforce, material, and equipment needs on an ongoing basis, notifying the Superintendent and Project Manager as needed. Create and distribute 3-week look-ahead schedules. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or 3 years of experience as a Superintendent. Comfortable working in and alongside ongoing operations in a medical construction environment. Construction Quality Management Certification (NAVFAC/USACE) (required). Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Project. Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills. Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) experience and training (preferred).
OSHPD / HCAI
experience (preferred). Federal construction experience (preferred). Work Environment and Physical Requirements Frequent travel to job sites, meetings, and government agencies. Exposure to extreme heat and cold, with high noise levels typical of construction environments. Extended periods of sitting while traveling, as well as standing and walking on the jobsite. Frequent climbing of stairs or ladders. Occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying of objects up to 60 pounds. Use of required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, eye and hearing protection, safety-toe footwear, and gloves.
