Full-Time We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Quality Control Lead to support our warehouse operations. This position is responsible for ensuring products and materials are processed accurately, safely, consistently, and according to established customer and company standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and able to lead by example. This role requires someone who will actively work on the production floor, identify quality and safety issues, coach employees in real time, and follow through to ensure corrections are made. Key Responsibilities Perform routine quality inspections throughout the production process. Verify work meets established customer specifications, SOPs, and internal quality standards. Identify defects, processing errors, sorting errors, and other quality concerns. Stop or escalate work when quality or safety requirements are not being met. Provide immediate coaching and corrective instruction when errors are identified. Demonstrate proper processes and observe employees performing the work to confirm understanding. Conduct follow-up quality checks to ensure corrections are maintained. Track quality issues, trends, errors, and recurring problems. Maintain accurate inspection and quality documentation. Communicate quality and safety concerns to Operations leadership. Assist with training and retraining employees on quality requirements, safety expectations, and standard work processes. Work closely with supervisors and team leads to improve quality, safety, and reduce rework. Support production goals without compromising quality or safety. Help identify root causes of recurring quality issues and recommend corrective actions. Safety Monitoring & Compliance The Quality Control Lead will also actively monitor safety practices throughout the operation, including: Ensuring employees are wearing all required PPE. Verifying employees are wearing appropriate safety-toe footwear. Monitoring forklift and powered industrial truck operation for safe practices. Identifying unsafe behaviors, conditions, or work practices and addressing them immediately. Ensuring employees follow designated pedestrian and forklift traffic rules. Monitoring proper use of tools, equipment, and machinery. Ensuring work areas, aisles, exits, and production areas remain clean and free of avoidable hazards. Reinforcing company safety policies and established procedures. Providing immediate coaching when unsafe behavior is observed. Escalating repeated or serious safety violations to Operations management. Reporting hazards, near misses, incidents, and other safety concerns promptly. Following up after safety coaching to ensure the employee consistently follows the correct procedure. Leading by example by consistently following all PPE and safety requirements. Qualifications Previous quality control, warehouse, manufacturing, production, ITAD, recycling, or similar experience preferred. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, and unsafe practices. Working knowledge of warehouse safety practices and PPE requirements. Forklift safety knowledge and/or previous forklift experience preferred. Ability to understand and enforce SOPs, work instructions, customer requirements, and safety procedures. Comfortable providing direct feedback and coaching to employees. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to document findings accurately and communicate issues to management. Basic computer and data-entry skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with the Operations team. Must be comfortable spending the majority of the workday on the warehouse/production floor. What Success Looks Like A successful Quality Control Lead does more than identify mistakes or unsafe behavior. This person understands why an issue occurred, addresses it with the employee or team, demonstrates the correct process when necessary, verifies the employee can perform it correctly, and follows up to ensure the issue does not continue. Success in this role will be measured by: Quality and accuracy of completed work Reduction in errors and rework Consistent adherence to SOPs and customer requirements Compliance with PPE and workplace safety requirements Safe operation of forklifts and other equipment Identification and timely correction of unsafe behaviors and conditions Effective employee coaching and retraining Accurate quality and safety documentation Timely escalation and resolution of concerns Consistent follow-through The expectation is simple: identify it, address it, correct it, verify it, and follow up.

Pay:

$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
