Job description We are a
USDA / FDA
Frozen Food Manufacturer and seeking a Quality Control Lead! The right candidate must have experience working in a food manufacturing company. This position will primarily work in an office environment but may be expected to go inside the production plant as needed. Hourly pay starts at $30 but can be higher based on experience.
Responsibilities :
Supervise, train, and develop a team of quality control technicians. Implement and maintain quality control procedures and documentation, including HACCP and food safety plans. Manage and maintain all quality-related documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and daily quality control records. Ensure documents are accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible. Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., USDA, FDA, FSMA). Stay current with industry regulations and best practices, updating procedures as needed. Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the HACCP program to ensure food safety and regulatory compliance. Serves as liaison with USDA inspection personnel whenever needed. Prepare and lead external audits (SQF) and internal inspections Respond to customer complaints and develop resolutions. Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to address quality issues. Conduct any other quality control related tasks that may be asked.
Qualifications :
Experience in Quality Control job role Experience in a food manufacturing plant. USDA processing plant is required. Frozen food is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to read, write and communicate in English. Spanish heavily preferred. Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Pre - Operational Inspections and GMP Audits SQF training: Certification is a plus.

High school or higher. College preferred
