- Know and recognize customer's parts
- Prepare samples, operate Rockwell and Microhardness tester and microstructure analysis
- Perform quality tests in a commercial heat-treating environment including dew point, system accuracy tests, and temperature uniformity surveys
- Must learn and participate in house quality management program and be familiar with
ISO 9001-2015 , CQI-9, AMS 2750
Standards- Perform and participate in Internal Quality Audits
- Keep customer's parts identified and properly organized in such a way as to avoid mixing
- Inspection of incoming and outgoing parts
- Ensure product flow for given operation
- Follow procedures to complete assigned duties
- Report on major manufacturing problems to Operations Manager or next in charge.
- Obtain all necessary lab supplies to perform daily tasks
- Maintain all necessary quality measurements and reporting
- Be able to perform timely nonconformance and root cause analysis and corrective action reporting
- Follow department rules, procedures, routines, and requirements to complete assigned duties
- Responsible for sampling parts during the assembly operation, to ensure parts meet customer specifications
- Recordkeeping and housekeeping; all parts identified properly and organized in such a way as to avoid mixing, and keep lab area neat and clean
- Performs other duties as required or assigned by Operations Manager
- Must attend mandatory training as necessary to be current in all applicable quality standards Minimum Requirements
- Three months of work experience. Preferably manufacturing experience.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with fellow employees, supervisors, and customers
- Ability to read and listen to work instructions, customer work orders, detail drawings, etc.
- Ability to work overtime
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office
- Must be able to attend required training and/or classes that pertain to job position
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work in a higher temperature environment
- Must to be able to perform repetitive movements with arms and hands
- Must be reliable and ready to perform job function at beginning of shift
- Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred Candidates
- Previous experience with a heat treater/metal finisher
- Two years' experience in manufacturing environment
- Quality/Inspection working experience
