Quality Manager Requirements & Qualifications 5-10+ years of aerospace quality experience with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or management role preferred. In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and related quality management systems. Experience with standard inspection equipment and techniques. Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or equivalent experience preferred. Proficiency in QMS management, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes. Ability to interpret manufacturing documents, blueprints, and job travelers. Familiarity with ERP systems such as JobBOSS2, E2, ProShop, or similar. Strong Microsoft Excel and office software skills. Quality Manager Preferred Background & Skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Effective communicator who bridges the office and shop floor. Proactive problem solver and collaborative team player. Comfortable prioritizing and multitasking in a dynamic environment. Quality Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS), ensuring readiness for audits and compliance with industry standards. Oversee all inspection activities, including incoming, in-process, and final inspections, and manage calibration and proper use of measurement tools. Lead structured root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances, driving closure and documenting preventative solutions. Serve as the primary contact for customer and supplier quality issues, supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze and report on key quality metrics, using data to guide improvement efforts and communicate results to leadership. Supervise, train, and develop quality inspectors and technicians, promoting best practices and a culture of accountability.
