Job Description

UF Health seeks a Radiology Section Supervisor to lead daily operations in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will supervise technologists and support staff, coordinate schedules, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered imaging services. You will champion safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance while collaborating closely with radiologists, nurses, and other teams. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations of the radiology section, ensuring timely, high-quality imaging services. Lead, schedule, and mentor technologists and support staff; support hiring, onboarding, and performance feedback. Monitor workflow, staffing levels, and equipment utilization to optimize patient throughput and safety. Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., The Joint Commission, ACR, state and federal). Collaborate with radiologists, nursing, and other clinical teams to support patient-centered care. Oversee quality assurance, protocol optimization, and radiation safety practices. Support implementation of new imaging technologies, PACS/RIS updates, and process improvements. Track key performance indicators and prepare reports for leadership on quality, safety, and efficiency. Promote a culture of continuous learning, inclusivity, and professional development within the team. Participate in budgeting, inventory management, and maintenance coordination for imaging equipment.
