Company Overview:

Tiello has partnered with a reputable Structural Steel Fabricator in Palm City, FL, on their search for an AISC Coordinator to oversee quality management, AISC certification compliance, and quality assurance processes across structural steel fabrication operations.

Role Summary:

The AISC Coordinator will be responsible for managing the company's AISC certification requirements, maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), and ensuring compliance with applicable AISC and AWS standards. This role will coordinate quality control documentation, material traceability, welding certifications, and annual certification audits while working closely with engineering, detailing, fabrication, and field operations teams. The ideal candidate will have experience within structural steel fabrication, a strong understanding of quality control procedures, and the ability to coordinate technical documentation and compliance requirements across multiple departments.

AISC Certification & Quality Management Manage and maintain the company's active AISC certification and compliance requirements. Prepare and maintain AISC documentation, including training records, compliance requirements, and PDH hours. Update and maintain the Quality Control Manual and applicable AWS and AISC standards. Lead annual AISC renewal audits and coordinate required documentation and preparation. Conduct internal quality audits to identify and prevent non-conformances. Maintain quality data packages and turnover documentation for project closeout. Quality Control & Fabrication Compliance Verify material traceability by reviewing incoming steel shipments against Material Test Reports (MTRs). Maintain welding certifications and continuity logs for shop fabrication personnel. Ensure quality control processes align with applicable fabrication standards and project requirements. Collaborate with fabricators, erectors, and field supervisors to support quality and safety throughout project execution. Identify potential quality issues and coordinate corrective actions when necessary. Project Coordination & Documentation Coordinate shop drawings, detailing, and RFI responses with engineers and architects. Prepare and manage RFIs, transmittals, and change orders. Work closely with project management, engineering, detailing, and production teams to ensure project requirements are met. Assist with project documentation, compliance records, and quality control deliverables. Support project execution through proactive problem-solving and effective communication. Compliance & Process Improvement Monitor compliance with AISC and AWS standards throughout fabrication operations. Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and certification renewals. Identify opportunities to improve quality management procedures and documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to fabrication quality and operational efficiency. Requirements:

Required:

3+ years of experience in structural steel fabrication, quality assurance, quality control, or AISC certification coordination. Experience managing or supporting AISC certification requirements. Knowledge of AISC and AWS standards and structural steel fabrication processes. Experience maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality control documentation. Familiarity with material traceability, Material Test Reports (MTRs), and welding certifications. Ability to coordinate with engineers, architects, fabricators, erectors, and field supervisors. Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred:

Experience leading AISC certification renewal audits. Familiarity with AISC quality control and quality assurance requirements. Experience with Tekla, Procore, and Bluebeam. Experience coordinating shop drawings, RFIs, transmittals, and change orders. Background in structural steel fabrication and erection. Experience supporting project closeout and quality documentation.
