Job Description

Milton J Wood Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Project Quality Control Manager to lead all quality assurance and quality control activities at our Project located in Pensacola, Florida. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Control Manager will serve as the primary onsite authority for quality-related matters and will work closely with project management, subcontractors, client representatives, and inspection personnel to deliver a successful project. Key Responsibilities Administer and manage the project's site-specific Quality Control Program. Ensure all construction activities comply with contract requirements, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. Coordinate and oversee inspections for civil, structural, mechanical, piping, welding, electrical, and instrumentation work. Manage inspection and test plans (ITPs), quality documentation, and project turnover packages. Lead site quality meetings with project teams, subcontractors, and client representatives. Identify, track, and resolve quality deficiencies. Verify materials and equipment received onsite meet project specifications. Support commissioning and startup activities by ensuring quality documentation is complete and accurate. Interface directly with client quality representatives and third-party inspectors. Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the jobsite. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of industrial construction quality control experience. Must have current Contractor Quality Management (CQM) training certificate. Strong knowledge of industrial construction practices and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents. Experience coordinating subcontractor quality activities. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) AWS, API, NACE, or ASQ certifications
